CONSUMED BY HIS CALL

After one year of intense language study, we have completed all four levels of Khmer at the Institute of Foreign Languages in Phnom Penh.  PTL!!!  It's such a relief to finally finish language school.  Here we are pictured with our Level Four teacher, 'Niak Crew' Phally.

Now that we have finished our classes at IFL, we are starting a new chapter by focusing on the more difficult Khmer words & phrases used in the Bible.  We will be studying with a tutor, Nimol, at our AG office in Phnom Penh.  The Khmer language is challenging because it uses a completely different set of words when referring to God and/or Royalty so we will be hard at work with learning that to effectively teach and preach in Khmer.

There's one more new chapter for us on the horizon for early next year.  We are planning to move from Phnom Penh in January 2012 to serve in one of the provincial capitals.  It's something we've been praying about this year and look forward to jump into the work the Lord has for us wherever that might be.  Lots of new chapters but it's exciting to be a part of what God is doing in Cambodia!
