We've been blessed to have a FULL itineration schedule in Missouri and Kansas without having to travel to other states most of the time... so we are actually pretty excited to be taking a road trip/ mini vacation through Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky for 8 days! It's nice to have a chance to do some fun things as a family while we travel to new churches.
Our trip started on Wednesday with us driving to Barnhart, Missouri for a service at Parkton AG. The next day we drove over to St. Louis. First, we ate lunch at Pointer's Pizza (famous on The Travel Channel for their Pointersaurus pizza-eating-challenge) and then we had a blast visiting the Zoo! Emma loves animals and can name most of the ones we saw there. She also had fun riding the carousel and sipping some pink lemonade to cool off!
Today was mostly another 'travel day' as we made our way from St. Louis to Evansville, Indiana. Thankfully, it was fairly peaceful thanks to our new portable DVD player and Gummy Bears for Emma to snack on!
We're getting excited about what this week will hold during our missions services... our budget has reached 93% now so every service, offering or monthly commitment has HUGE potential to push us forward!
